Hey Y’all!
I’m Denise, an East Texan who loves Jesus and the outdoors! Put me on the lake with a fishing pole in hand and I am in my happy place. I love to watch the sun set and rise and I appreciate God’s creation. Our summers get pretty hot here in Texas, so if the fish aren’t biting then it’s time to just jump in and join them!
I’m passionate about teaching God’s Word and serving others.God’s Word is so exciting! My desire is to teach His Word in a way that causes others to seek out God’s truths for their own lives. I want others to truly believe Ephesians 2:10. “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”
Over the last 10 years, God has opened up many opportunities for me to serve Him. I get to serve at my home church, which I have been a member of for over 25 years, by teaching a life group and leading Celebrate Recovery. I also get to serve on the Board of Graciously Broken Ministries and get to build relationships with each lady that comes through this program while sharing the love of Jesus. Another passion I have is serving in Haiti at our trade school, Jubilee School of Discipleship, through Jubilee Kids Inc. I have been traveling back and forth for about 4 years and have built lifelong relationships there!
I spent years chasing the wrong things, being angry at God and trying to find happiness through worldly things. I now believe God’s Word to be Truth and only a relationship with Jesus Christ can satisfy my soul.
I love what I do! It is an honor and a joy to speak to people everywhere about the love of Jesus! If I’m not serving in one of these areas or on the lake, you can find me at home sitting on the porch with my husband or chasing grand-kids!
